Roy Hubbard (28) USA
Inspired by Robin Lee Graham’s solo circumnavigation in his yacht Dove, Hubbard has owned boats since the age of 13, cruising the New England coast each summer. Roy purchased the cutter rigged Baba 35, Duke which he has refitted and to gain experience of sailing in the Southern Ocean, will be racing aboard one of the Clipper round the world race yachts this winter on the 4,300 mile leg from Fremantle to Sydney, Australia before returning to the US to sail across the Atlantic for the start of the GGR .
